Chin and I celebrated CNY in Serian this year...
but the difference is ..
it is less hectic this year.....
since my sis has moved into her new house...
so the CNY guests also moved with her...
my dad's friends still come but the number is tolerable...
but i heard my sis had a tough time...
luckily her eldest daughter, Kim, helped her out...
but still....she had to entertain a continuous stream of people
since 9 am till 9 pm...
huahuahua......
Reunion dinner was just family members this year...
Wlliam, Helen and Josephine's family all came back...
Mathew did not since he had barbeque at his place...
(I disagree with that of course
since reunion dinner is strictly family...
so no matter what grudges you have against your
family members, you should attend it)
After all, when you are in trouble...
the first person you're running to is family member, rite?
So, business aside, family must come first...
Anyway...since the 1st day fell on a sunday,
we went to church as a family....
this is pretty rare....
CNY mass after all...
Anywho, Chin and i went to pick up Father Mien for a visit...
Josephine and I entertained him until 3.30 and
then we sent him back...
so Chin and I took the kids to Kuching
to visit a friend's house...Mr Jong...
so Baby, Yaya, Folen and Moses came with us...
after that we went to The Spring to try and
catch a movie but it was jam pack....so we
decided to go on thursday instead...
but we did have a great time...
brought the kids to MPH to buy some books...
then we went back...
2nd day, we had prayer at home...
and the rosary prayer group came...
so i helped my ma to cook...beehoon goreng...
and Josephine cooked erm...kacangma...a specialty
of the Chinese in Sarawak...
It was a tiring day...with
all the preparation and the cleaning after but
it was a once in a year occasion...so it was ok i guess...
We brought the kids for a movie on Thursday instead...
Percy Jacksona nd the olympians....
quite nice...but i was being biased when i watched it...
Baby really enjoyed it though...
hahahah....
then we had pizza...and the kids really had the time
of their life...
we enjoyed the outing too...
hmm....it'll be december before we can go out together again...
But..all else aside...
it was a great time spent with family...
