Ravi's Last Day in UJ

Ravi...we miss u....
All the best...

Today is Ravi's last day in UJ...
Actually it was last week but he asked for an extension...
and he only got a week...
Anyway....everyone tried to squeeze in some time with him...
either at the assembly square, the canteen or the staffroom...
Yeap....the air is heavy with unspoken emotion...
Chewah....
especially the men teachers, i would say....
They hung for as long as possible around Ravi
until it was necessary for them to leave....
Well...i took some photos....as usual...
the last day...

Outrageous slanders....

Speculation is a norm when something happened...
but speculation stated with untrue conviction is a slander....
which can cause grave injury to the party involved.
Yeap...speculation spread like wild fire after what had
happened last week...
most were totally wrong that people who know the truth had
to correct them...just so rumours do not
grow out of hand...
Anyway...most of the speculations were quelled
successfully...
But there's one person who is totally out of this world
that you might think this person
is living on another planet altogether.

This particular person took it upon this person's self
(to avoid exposing this person's gender)
to be the CSI and investigate the whole
matter within ...say....half a day...?
(beat CSI right...with all the high tec stuff..)
and this person knows the truth.....
which is totally crooked....
and based on this person's past experience
which is totally a different matter as compared to this...

This person made 2 speculations and 1 statement
that is totally outrages that i cannot repeat it here...
that repeating it would defile my mouth....
Slanderous statements....
from a crack person....
Of course i have been sworn to secrecy...
so i shall not repeat what i heard...
suffice to say that it made my blood boiled...

Inception yesterday...

Movie time ...yay....we havent gone
for a movie for ages....and yesterday...
we went to watch an under promoted movie - Inception.
I have not heard of it...so when Mr Chin said that
we were going to watch Inception...
i went like...sorry?
Anyway...he said it was like Matrix....
so i was imagining something boring and technical...
But...well...well...well....
it was a really impreesive movie....
one which will make you glue to the seat for
two hours an a half....
even the thought of going to the loo will not lure you
away from the screen.

The idea is fairly new....
about infiltrating people's dreams to steal their secrets...
it's much better than any high tech espionage...
it involves kidnapping and putting people to
sleep so they can create a world so real that
the persons will believe them...
and somehow...
let their secret out.

There's this one scene that i really love...
it's when they were falling from the bridge...
and those who were in the second level dream....
they are totally floating in a gravitiless world....
kewl...
the fight scenes were really kewl here....
it's like austronauts training...

Which charater do i like?
Definitely Arthur...
played by Joseph Gordon Levitt..
he looked familiar....i remember he acted in one of the sitcoms
when he was a kid....
hah...!!!
Third Rock fom the Sun, my favourite
sitcom in the nineties....

Anyway...his character was the coolest....
He seemed unflustered by all the huha around him...
but yet maneuvering around all obstacles
smoothly....
2 thumbs up for him...

This is a highly recomended movie for all except
for children...because i guarantee they will not
understand the concept...
but well...like Matrix...you have to listen intently
in order to understand the whole idea...

Another hottest update...being slapped...

I don't know the facts yet but all i can say is that
it's really hot....from the oven...
and it's really a sad issue...
and it happens when Tuan Haji is doing his umrah...
and this issue angers all of us...teachers....
a student's parent slapped a teacher...
today....
and the teacher has done a police report...
i hope justice will prevail...
This is the attitude of the parents nowadays...
and what they show their children is that
you can settle anything with your fist...
and yoou do not have to be civilised and respectful
of other human beings....
No wonder the attitude of the students in school
never changes....
despite all the education that we try to instil
in the students....
or rather force down their throat...
since they are at the unwilling end to accept...
Argh...
i feel sadden by this....
It is not a good day today...
We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Latest update....Transfer from UJ..

Come this Friday....
another teacher will be transfered....
and the saddest of all is that it's Ravi....
argh....one funny person less in school....
so...the noise level is going down slowly from Uj...

Yeah...we are happy that he finally got to transfer to
Seremban....due to his medical prob and all...
but we are sad that he won't be part of UJ family anymore....
And he brings some of the sunshine away with him....
Argh...so depressing....

Ravi...we'll miss u...but u must come to our family day....
Waaa.......
He's trying to delay his transfer to the end of the month but
that would depend on his new principal...
Oh...Ravi got Seri Pagi....
Good luck Ravi....
all the best....
We are happy for you....
but we are sad that we are losing a friend....
from our sight....
do keep in touch...
FB...and blogging....

Quick blogging update from school.

It's nearly 1.30 pm and i am so sleepy right now...
so decided to blog instead...
Liza told me that the Chinese teachers do not want to be
in charge of this Friday programme for the Chinese students...
so the whole thing is pushed to the Moral subject
department and again falls into the hands of the Malay teachers...

It's kinda funny...come to think of it...
Every Friday..... nobody wants to be in charge of the non-Muslim programme....
like it is so difficult...
the Chinese students of course do not listen and pretend
not to understand BM and this makes
relaying messages so difficult....

So....whenever there is programme for the Muslim students,
the teachers will have difficulty to find speakers....
or they just don't care....i guess...
Non-of-my-business kinda thing....
and yet they are teaching in this school
but feel no attachment to it...
Still...like the time we had a talk for the Muslima nd Indian
students on women's safety last 2 months...
the Chinses students were left out just
because the teachers did not bother
to ask around if people know
other people who can give talk.

Aih...i guess this cycle will go on another century and difficult
to break....
The Chinese students will always be with
their attitude problem which no decent
education can change and the teachers will also
have similar attitude....
Oh..well....what comes around goes around i guess....

Brain-washing 5 Gemilang...

Today we had a meeting with 5 Gemilang students....
my class....
i've been badgering Tn Haji to have a word with them....
and some of the subject teachers too...
but unluckily some of the teachers were not
in school today due to some competitions elsewhere....
Anyway....it was actually scheduled for tomorrow but
since some students will be going to Kuala Pilah tomorrow,
Tn Haji decided to pull it forward.
So, the counsellor was there with Kak Ola,
their BM teacher and towards the end....
Aida was there too.
Kak Ola and I trashed out some of the teachers' dissatisfaction
towards the attitude of some of the
students in the class....
especially pertaining to puppy love and playfulness
in the class....
some think that they are so good that they do not put in any
effort at all to perform well...
but their mid-year exam results show otherwise...
that these particular students are just
not good enough to be in the Science class...
70% failed their pure Science subjects...
some got 50 for BM....
argh...really frustrating....
I hope that they will change after this....
but the students that we targeted
particularly for this meeting were not in the class
today....
they went to Jusco for the Book Exhibition...
which i think is not important for them to join....
again....not serious in their studies....
Most teachers already lost their eagerness to
give their all for the students of this class...
and only focusing on those who are constantly
improving themselves....
It's their lost if they do not change....
And of course those who give all their effort
and show good quality in their works
will gain the most in this situation.
Tn Haji will be going for umrah soon...
so i hope he will have the time to meet
the remainning few who were not in the class today.

Choas...emotion....emotional.....

Something happened in school today....
Am i at the liberty to talk about it?
I'm not sure...
how do i feel about the whole thing?
Uneasy...embarrassed...
What had happened?
Well...it started as a wonderful day...
Friday and you might say...TGIF...right...?
Yeah...for me it was..TGIF...
but somehow during the assembly....an incident spoiled the
day...
simply because one student said a teacher is
not beautiful....
The teacher got angry and then...
emotional...and she just let her whole emotional be exposed
to the whole world.....
and yeah....showing disrespect for the school head
and stuff...
Tn Hj did pacify her but to no avail
i guess...
she just took the whole mike and let
her steam off for almost 5 mins...
or maybe i exaggerated....
anyway....i feel that no matter
what the situation....we as teachers have to control
our emotion as we are the adult here...
yesh...we are basically human...to the core....
but we are also a public figure...to our students...
and to them.....we are the person they look
to whether they like it or not.....
so...we have to set good example....
and being emotional at something trivial...
is definitely not it...
But i guess....beauty is only skin deep...
we are beautiful...because of who we are...mainly
not because of how we look...
so...the outburst is trully...
a shallow way.....
for a shallow characteristic....
Hmmmm.....I am disturbed....
somehow....
what a day....

On a lighter note...i drove James back today instead of Chin...
and he seemed to question my driving skills....
Ahahahahahaaa.......
ROFL.....
