Totally uncalled for...

I have always believed that my next door neighbour is weird
and both Chin and I think that they're sort of 'free' with
their kids...or rather
their kids are free to roam anywhere...
I wrote about them before under the title
'children from hell' if i'm not mistaken...
Chin has been telling me that the husband is sometimes kinda
weird...sending sms out of nowhere
and with sometimes kinda...weird...statements...
But i always told Chin to not have a suspicious mind....
me, being a positive person, and well...
since they are neighbour...so i thought maybe it's his
way of trying to be neighbourly....

But what happened last weekend totally changed my mind...
even the most POSITIVE person would be
suspicious....hmmmm.....
you tell me what you think after you read this...

Anyway...i like to buy cheap cloths in Nilai or Casa Moda
near my house to make baju kurung for work...
and since my neighbour can sew baju kurung...
i send these materials to her...
and she only cahrged me RM25...cheap...
So...last weekend she told me she lost my measurement...
and that she'd like to measure my baju kurung or something like
that...
so last Friday evening....she sms me...
and i thought she asked me to go over to get measured...
but i discovered that she just wanted to initiate small talks...
so being the next door neighbour and she being a teacher...
i though...what the heck...
I gave her my hp no because i wanted to go to SM Teknik Port dickson
some weeks ago...and i thought it convenient
to contact her should i need to ask her for direction...

So...i replied her sms...talking about nothing in particular...
mostly about her car...and other common stuff...
then...she asked about Chin and I not having children...
so i gave the usual standard answer that i gave
everyone that i am not so close with...
then she mentioned about her children...and then...i made a
general comment...being non-committal and not too personal..
(heck...i just know her as my neighbour...okay...)
Then...suddenly she started to talk about her sex life...
at first it wasn't so obvious...
just the usual feeling of uncomfyness when 'making love'
to her hubby....(i assumed making love is sex)...
so i didn't make any comment about that...
just stating that women are complicated species...since all the vital
conception organs are hidden and stuff...
Then...she made some explicit comment...
which to me is OFFENSIVE....

Hello...i don't want to know about your sex life okay...
i see you like once in a while...and i do not
want to have unwelcome images in my mind every time i see you...
and your hubby....
but i get the feeling that she's trying to get me to be involved in some
dirty talks....
i chose to ignore the first sms hoping that she would
stop if i did not reply or take up
the banter...
i stick to other topics instead...about SM Teknik PD for instance...
but each time she would divert to that OFFENSIVE topic...
arrgghhh....i was getting sooooo uneasy about the whole thing...
But thinking that she's my neighbour...
i chose to ignore it...and didn't reply to the sms...
I was shocked when she quoted the 'big and long' words about her
other half....
and then...out of no where....
the number of times she *c....x* and how her other half
is slow to do so...
(i assumed that's what it was when she used the word 'keluar')
and having s...x with a certain race is so good because of
them being circumcised....
My eyes nearly popped out....
Gosh...i feel offended because she thinks that
i am comfortable reading about her sex life...
i nearly replied saying...have you even tried other people since
you are only married to ur hubby?
Bed said i should have done that....
(she being the fierce, outspoken lady that she is, bless her)

Well...i felt defiled...harassed even....
it is a form of sexual harassment surely....
before she went to bed she bade me goodnite...
so i did the same...
and that brief reply got another sexually suggestive statement...
'Tina...esok malam minggu...ahad tak kerja...
tak buat project ke...hehee...'
I was so indignant...
Chin was angry when i told him about the little episode...
i was apprehensive to tell him...
because to me...such thing should be kept private...
between the husband and wife...
we are after all...living in the east....
and we do not condone to talking about sex freely in such manner...
I am an openminded person ...yes...but...i stil feel that
what happen between husband and wife is sacred....
and should be kept that way...
This is not New York, for heaven sake...
and we are definitely NOT desperate housewives....
or sex and the city casts....
We especially do not share this kind of info with a casual
aquaintance...someone on nodding term...
and not hugging term....

Haih....Chin told me the next time she does that again...
just tell her off....
I would if she even dares to be explicit again...
and yesterday...she asked me about the baju kurung that she
had sewn...
i said it fits nicely...not too big and not too small...
and she could even use that statement to suggest something
sexual...or was it my suspicious mind that works overtime...
but tell me what u think of this...
'k, tina, besar sikit lagi best...hehe...'

Was i right to be suspicious....or is she merely referring to
my baju kurung size..
Do i read too much into that final statement?

Shake your BON-BON bebeh....

Upside, inside out she's livin la vida loca
She'll push and pull you down, livin la vida loca
Her lips are devil red and her skin's the color mocha
She will wear you out livin la vida loca Come On!
Livin la vida loca, Come on!
She's livin la vida loca.

Haba...haba...haba....hot mama....
It was an exciting weekend...
the dance studio near my house organised a Mother's Day dance workshop
and i picked up the courage to call and
enquire...
so ...seemed that i needed a partner for the workshop....
Luckily...Teresa was available for the weekend...
so we went...
We missed half of the partner Yoga workshop....
but we really enjoyed the other 2 sessions....
Belly Dancing and Salsa...
Rainy, the pretty instructor taught us belly Dancing...
she let us wore the belly dancing scarves and
we *shingles* to the tempo of Shakira's song...
It was pretty easy actually...
we did the hip movement...the slide...
the shimmy....the choo-choo shimmy....the sexy turn...
and finally we combine all these to make a pretty little dance...
Fun...

Then.. the Hot SALSA...
Wow...the steps were pretty simple...
but the SEXY HIP movement wasn't that simple...
The instructor keep saying...More hip ladies...
Shake your bon-bon...
Sexier...sexier....
if my butt isn't so big....maybe i'll have a sexy bon-bon shaking...
muahahahahahaaa....
i wasn't wearing heels then...
so the butt could not be any sexier...
We did 3 rounds of full partner salsa...
the turn was a bit confusing...
too fast i almost got dizzy...

I check out the new dance classes on offer...
SALSA will be on in June think...
But they have Girl style Hip hop, New Jazz, Locking,
Raegge, the usual belly and pole dancing...

I think i'll learn new jazz first...then Hip hop...
if salsa is on...i'll take that first...
I can't wait...

Belated Hari Guru celebration update - 18 MAY 2009

Hari Guru came and gone with the theme
Guru Pembina Bangsa this year...
The Teachers' Day weekend, i was in Sarawak...
went back for fun since i got myself a cheap ticket...

Anyway, my school's celebration fell on the Monday right after that
weekend...
it was a good timing because right after that was the beginning of
our exam week...
so after being happy we came back to school without having to think
about teaching in class...

Almost all of us wore the school official Baju batik but some
didn't manage to get it done
so they wore anything green...
But it was a pretty sight really...looking at the different shade of
green since the Batik was hand painted...
so the they couldn't of course produce
the exact same thing...
We started from the road leading up to the school...going uphill with
the four heads infront...
Effendy had the Kebudayaan kids to perform
the silat and dance that he has for the Commonwealth weekend...
Then, we were escorted by the prefects - each teacher
was assigned an escort and they gave us a tumbler...
The programmes started with the reading of compulsory speeches
by the ministers and so on...
Then, the cutting of the cakes by the four heads...and
then teachers were invited to sing the song
Kami Guru Malaysia (We, the teachers of Malaysia)
Then, the fun entertainment began...
The students sang....some have really good voice..
you'll never know until they perform....

Anywho...the really fun part was when the teachers performed...
The usual line up...
Kak Ngah with her puisi...(no singing ha kak Ngah?)
Suhaimi with his Melayu puisi (bau-bau politik la...)
Cikgu Zul with his songs....
Abg Aji with his funny cha-cha or twist songs...
(Musfazli had to dance but he looked chubby and cute)
then..of course....LIN...the ever glameres LIN...
Tak pernah miss....if miss 1 year...rasenye tutup skolah kot...
Kak Ti and Abg Lan - pasangan suami isteri singing
enjit2 semut...
Oh....a new addition...Srivani and Tamilarasi with a
Tamil song...
and the GRAND FINALE -
Abg Shim (HM) with his classic song...
Bed, Lin and I went up to dance....

After breakfast at 10 sumting, we had a brief aerobic...
the Chicken dance and Poco-poco...
lantak la...
tak ingat step so we created our own steps....
Then...sukaneka....
hah...cikgu tipu bagai nak rak....
our group was among the first to go...
HM was so bad...he pushed our balloon from the top of the chair
and it fell on Kak Ngah....
Kak Ngah went..."HM tipu...die tolak belon...."
In the first makan roti round, he threw it under the table...
Chet...
Some CHEATED outrageously...
Ravi...(***i said RAVI***take note) tarik kaki kerusi
when his group member kicked the ball
so it went right underneath...
some even stole other groups' balloons...
it was merely for FUN...to see how the students react....
The best thing was....
HAHAHAHA...
HM punye group got no & while our group got 6...
i think...
Tu la...orang dah cakap...
Menipu tu x elok...lagi nak buat....muahahahaha...

After lunch, we had Fishing competition...
the teachers were down at the pond at 1.45...
all were impatient to fish....
cikgu Zul checked that all the teachers were present and then he
started to read the list of prizes...
we all went like....
Cikgu Zul can we start....tak sabo dah ni....
tak yah cakap byk2....pancing je...
Apparently The HM is not down yet...
so we all waited IMPATIENTLY for him...
Then....finally he made his appearance....
Bawak plastik besar...macam nak tangkap byk ikan...
we were all cheering him on...with his BIG, BIG, BIG orange
plastic bag...(note that i wrote BIG)
so finally...after he got his Joran and all...
we began...
Bed hebat...among the 2nd fastest to catch fish....
Suhaimi...caught a lot of fish....
tapi cheated like hell...guna cacing....
kejap-kejap dapat....A'raaf pun same...
i waited for 15 minutes....tak kena jugek....
finally...i tipu jugek la...guna cacing...
within a few seconds...i caught 1...
hahahaha....the excitement of catching a fish...can be addictive...

It was really VIP Fishing (as chin called it) for me and
Bed...
tak brani nak pegang fishing bait...and when
we caught a fish...tak brani nak get it off the hook...
siap jerit....adik...tolong cikgu....letak umpan...
then....tolong kelurakan ikan...
ALL we did was..pancing je...

The funiest thing was....HM seekor pun tak dapat...
despite his big plastic bag....
his joran tak makan ikan....
HM tak puas hati...mula tukr spot....ke sebelah kiri kolam.....
sebab ramai dapat ikan kat situ...
tapi takde jugek...
then pegi kat tempat Araaf dan Suhaimi....
pun tak dapat....
then pegi blakang Bed and I sebab we all caught fish....
pun tak kena....keliling kolam...
sekor pun takde...
Lin pun give up...merayu-rayu mintak cacing...
finally she got 2 ekor kot...berkat umpan cacing...
muahahahaha....bukan nasib kau la Lin....

Ade yang tak puas hati....
after 30 minutes still memancing...
padahal dah abis masa....
seronok memancing...aku la tu....among the few...
finally...after Lin dan Bed terjerit-jerit suruh balik baru la nak naik...

It was a fun day for all of us....
Almaklum...hidup kt bandar la konon...
pancing ikan pun tak pernah...
dah tu pancing macam VIP....
tau tarik ikan je...

Ravi...aku tak ingat...rasenye pun tak byk ikan yang die dapat....
Bukan nasib kau la Ravi...
Hopefully...next year pun bule pancing lagi...

I'll update some photos later on sbb tak download lagi...

Weekend in Sepang - Labour Day

I noe...I noe....1st of May was long gone but....
Me being me... i got so busy with this and that...
and trying to get some proper rest after the debate that
i didn't actually update on my blog....

I wanted to got to Taman Negara trip with my school but
because of the RCIA outreach programme...
i didn't go...
But since i was the only lady teacher left who was willing to
go somewhere during that long weekend...
so i decided to go to Empress hotel sepang
with Effendy to accompany the Kebudayaan Kids
for the 17th Common Wealth Education Minister Meet...
I dragged Tessa along for i know how much interested she is in anything
which involves cultures and performance...
So we went on Saturday and were given a room to stay...
There was a rehearsal at 2 pm so we went up straight away to the
10th floor to see my school students.
They were practising in a room....
At 2.30, the rehearsal began....
It wasn't a full dress rehearsal tho...
but still...the kids or rather schools chosen to do the performance
were superb...
There was the amazing choir group from a school in KL,
a contemporary Gamelan group playing ABBA songs
from Melaka, the Portuguese dance group from a school in Malacca,
the dances from Orang Asli to the traditional Malay dances...
All these were superb...
We were so amazed....
The people from Putrajaya commented here and there
on the smiling etc...but overall...there were amazing...

Tessa and i went to Nilai that evening for a look see and
got back (after much sesat and all)
at 9 pm...pheww...we could be anywhere on the freeway...

Anyway... the next morning i woke up at 5.30 to help
Effendy with the make up...
apparently the people from Putrajaya did not
want to see heavy make up on children's faces...
so it only took a while to finish doing the make up...
Anyway...Fatin Afiqah was there to help out....
so everything was done in a jiffy...
By 8.30 am we were all in the hall on the 12th floor of
the Hotel waiting for Datuk Zakaria or watever his name was..
when he finally arrived it was 9.30 am...
So the preview began...

Now the groups were all in their traditional costumes...
all very colourful and pretty...
My students looked amazing too....even the gamelan boys and girls
(including Ciwin) looked so pretty...
they were nervous though...

I like the Tarian Orang Asli the best....
even though the movements were pretty simple but
well...the energy from the kids were amazing...
Then, there was the Tarian Asyik from the primary school...
The girls' hands were so graceful that at one point
you couldn't really differentiate between the back of their hands
and their palms...
UJ did a very splendid and colourful performance...
silat and citra warna....which i think is amazing...
Effendy did a great job at choregraphing the whole
dance...
The VIP of course commented on each and every one of the
performance...
none escape....
It was a really fulfilling weekend for the Tessa and I...
We simply loved the whole thing....
i caught some snippets of video here and there...
which i will upload when i have the time...

RCIA outreach programme to Orang Asli Settlement - Belihoi

On the 1st of May...I joined Chin's RCIA outreach
programme to Kampung Belihoi near Mantin...
It felt like balik kampung...
Tessa joined us for the programme...
After breakfast at 10 am we drove out to the junction to Belihoi
and waited for the rest of the English RCIA group to come...
James came first so we followed him to the foot hill of
the village to park our cars...
Then we hiked up the hill into the village - it was a
5 mins hike...
We saw MIDIN...hahahaha..a rare thing here..
of course there is Midin here just that not in abundance
like in Sarawak.
We we greeted by the friendly orang asli and invited into
their Rumah Besar - a place of worship.
The head for the Christian Communityis called Langkap...
They look so much like the native Sarawakian...
so Tess and I fit in perfectly....
Hahaha...people might even think that we are orang asli...
The houses were built like those found in the Bidayuh
villages in Sarawak....yeap...pretty similar...
We had a brief praise and worship and then fellowship
with the orang asli...
Tess and I chatted with some of them...
apparently there are not many of them who go to school...
James goes there every Friday afternoon to give
free tuition but he said so far the response
was pretty luke warm...
most prolly because the children sleep in the afternoon...
Anyway...there were many youngsters but
they seem to be not going to school...
they look like schooling age anyway...teenagers...
Chin and I decide that if there is better response to the
tuition thingy, we will volunteer to give
them free tuition every Friday afternoon...
English and mathematics...
Anyway...there is 1 sarawakian staying with in Belihoi...
the funny thing is he is from my town...
of all the place to meet my town mate...
He works in Singapore street...
I think he loves it there because it reminds him of Sarawak so much..
The people, the village and also the friendliness...
It reminds me of the Orang Asli children in SMUJ...
I guess the same situation may happen to them...
Living far away from any schools so they
have to travel out to go to school...
In this case for those from Belihoi...SMK Mantin..
We left after the fellowship...at about 2pm..
Chin went back to Mantin and Tess and i went to town...
It was an eye opener though...
the trip...
We should be grateful for all the things that we have...
I should thank God everyday for all the things around me...
Bless them all...

Champion Debate 2009...most heated debate EVAH...

Been trying to log on since Wednesday night to write
about the debate but couldn't get through until today...
Sucks la this blogsot....take note...blogspot...
i just call you sucks....
Anyway i wrote it in my journal..so i can put it in when i can log in...
Here's what i wrote...

29 APRIL 2009
We rawk!! We rawk!! We really rawk!!!
We rawk the hall of SM Teknik today with cheers and claps
and shouts of VICTORY.
It was SWEET...SWEET...VICTORY...against DUMA...
made SWEETER by Aisyah's performance...
That girl rawks, man!!!

DEBATE, of course is the MOST popular of all English
activities, the MOST adrenalin charged competition...
Oh...definitely NOT for the faint-hearted...
But winning it is a reward in itself...
We went through all 3 rounds this year...
Prelim, semi and finals... and UJ really rawks...
The girls' confidence level increased with each level they won...
GIRL POWER....YAY...

The first round, MRSM was pitiful...the first speaker only spoke
for 2-3 mins...he was even afraid of POI...
They were piece of cake...
My girls were merciless...going in for the kill
the moment the first bell was rung...
I knew they were going to win when the first speaker spoke...
They won hands down, of course...

Teriang Hilir was a tougher challenge...though i got a
really good feeling that the girls would win again...
UJ's stand was indestructible so no matter how they manipulated
the issue, we still got the upper hand.
The killing was even worse this time...

In the 3rd and most heated round, the girls were excited...
I think they could feel that they would win..
Last minute coaching by Azie and I and some
input about DUMA debaters came in handy during the debate...
Well...the whole adrenalin stuff was in this round
so i forced Azie to sit through this one...

The 3rd round was bloodier...blood splash...hahaha...
Azie, Bed and I nearly had a heart attack...
After the 1st speaker delivered his argument, the hall suffered
a blackout. So, Tasya instructed the debaters to carry their tables down...
and set them infront of the judges...
It was a bad idea...close proximity...
Half way through, there was electricity so the microphones
without a stand were passed to the debaters...
When they 2nd speaker from DUMA started her arguments,
she was prowling the space infront of the judges...
holding the microphone...and she crossed over the borderline between
UJ and DUMA..
She was very INTIMIDATING...staring down at
the girls.
When Kelly(Khalilah) POI her, she didn't let her finish
but shouted into the mic to overpower Kelly's voice...
Aisyah immediately moved in to attack after Kelly sat down...

Nikita really got emo here...
She walked menacingly towards Aisyah while Aisyah was giving her POI.
And Aisyah...Bless her,...was UBER KEWL...
She was calm but firm and at one point,
when Nikita was staring and shouting and moving towards her,
she calmly said,
"Miss, please control your emotion, miss. We are in a
professional debate here, not fighting."
And her hand movement - she actually pushed the air
at Nikita and well, Nikita actually took a step backward!
The beauty of this exchange was it wasn't even a POI...
Hahahahahaha....
Nikita was VISIBLY trembling from being put down by AIsyah...
What did I say??? KEWL ha?
That was an AWESOME moment...

Aisyah won Best Speaker award...in all 3 rounds...
I am SOOOOO PROUD of her...
she cried when she accepted the trophy...
It's her first time debating and she won so much...

The team this year is a stronger team...They
have equal strenght but a tad low on self-esteem...
Aisyah is the calmest one...thinking and writing...
Afiqah and Erisya have low-self confidence...but they did great
during the debate...
Kelly - she was beautiful with her practised MUKA POYO...
she stuttered quite a lot in the first round but
towards the end she was ok...
Girl Power betul al UJ...

Anyway...all in all..we bagged quite a lot
of trophies too...
Champion and best speaker for Debate,
!st runner up and Best actress in Drama,
and 1st runner up in public speaking.
Choral speaking didn't do well..i don't want to start pointing
fingers because we are all inexperience in this area...
Maybe we'll fare better next year...
i'll make sure of that...

I'm still in a state of euphoria now...floating...
When it was announced that DUMA got 1st runner up...
Azie and I jumped up from our chairs and screamed...
talked about being discreet...hahahhaa...

But actually, my gut feeling told me that we were going to win
days before the debate itself...
while preparing my angle for the topics...
i got a good feeling that the angle i was preparing
for was indestructible...
I kept telling them that i had a good feeling about the motions...
Psychic...
All my hardwork and sleepless nights are now paid off...
Yay...yay...We'll go state...
The 2nd time round ...
state...here we come...

I heard that ST CO won Miri district level too and
will go state as well...
Yeah...they rawk too...
Ms Chew still rawks man...!!!
Congrats to them...
My old coach...
