Chin and I went to Genting Highland with my parents
on Monday...and we only
just came back today....
and tomorrow..off we'll go to Cameron Highland...
Anywho....we did not expect Genting to be sooooo
super cold yesterday...
inside the building wasn't that cold...
it was just fine..but going outside was
like soooo cold....
brrrrrrr....
It was definitely too cold for my mom...
we went around the place...went to look at the flying watever game and
felt like puking looking at the people
going upside down...and
sideways...and any other ways...
pheww...
i'm not up to that kinda stuff...
My mum's statement was..
"If i were young like 40 years ago...i might just
attempt the whole thing..."
Hah..exactly...if i were like 10 years younger maybe...
We took loads and loads of photos...
went to the casino...
which was congested with cigarette smoke...yucks..
heh...thought my dad
would want to gamble...
but turned out he didn't...
Chin was interested though...but his
intention was squashed...
as my mum wanted to get out of the
smoke filled room...
It was very foggy by the time we left the
indoor theme park area
to go back to our hotel room
at the Chin Swee temple...
we had to drive down very slowly as visibility was
very low...and chin was not quite sure of the
entrance to the temple...
the wid was pretty strong...
and the top of the Genting highland hill
was covered by thick clouds...
The Chin Swee temple was under renovation
last time Chin and I were there...
i didn't know there is accomodation
at the place...
It is a very serene place to stay...
at if you go during off peak season
the rate for a triple share room
is just RM70...
and a single room cost only RM50 off peak season..
the single bed is quite big and can fit me and Mr Chin
comfortably...
Anyway...after shower...we decided to go up to the square above
to see the night view...
it was spectacular...
the lights from KL city were clearly seen from above...
the glittering lights made the whole night seemed
magical...
even the top of the hill was very clear...
i guess all the clouds were gone because of the
strong winds...
The next morning....early....
Chin and I went up to the
square just to have the morning view...
but no sunrise to see...
so we went back to sleep...
On the way down from
Genting, we went to
Bukit Tinggi...
My students always go to
Bukit Tinggi and we were just curious as
wat can be seen there...
so...off we went since BT is nearby only
from Genting...
Turned out...it is a quint little place...
there is the Japanese Botanical Garden
with Japanese Tea House and a European style
serene little toen...
very quaint i think...
French boulangerie...(that's bakery in English),
and sidewalk cafes...
we had lunch at this erm...Vietnamese food restaurant...
i think the Thai Tomyam was delicious...
and the chicken soup was not bad too...
The Japanese Garden is really baeutiful...
with gently rolling brook, fish ponds,
a japanese house...
the best of all are the plants...
the garden is perfectly landscaped...
it is a good place to visit...tho
a tad too far from the nearest town...
but worth visiting if u want to experience
something Europeanish in Malaysia...
