Tired and sick of everything.

Lately i've been really sick of some people
that i cannot stand hearing their voice.
I'm not a hypocrite so it's really difficult for me to control
my emotion sometimes that i prefer to move away from the source
so as i do not have to experience that sickening feeling in me.

I should ask God for forgiveness for feeling this way
because it is utterly judgmental of me of the other party.
But truth be told, i'm not the only one to feel this way.

I am definitely a positive person
tho i think sometimes i tend to be negative but
i have learnt to get a grip of my negativity
and replace it with positivity instead.
So, when i come in contact with negative people
my aura will try to fight the negative charge.
And honestly i hate it.
To me, negative people do not look at the big picture.
Their view is so limited that they only see what's in front of them
and not around them.
Ah.....there i go again....babbling.....rambling.....
on and on and on....

Anyway.....back to the original subject matter....
I basically hate a whiner....(is that the correct spelling?)
A person who loves to whine.
He or she does a little bit of work but
well....they beat the chicken at it....
even the chicken is less noisy about the one
egg it has....
This kind of person will whine and whine...like
he or she has done and sacrificed a hell lot of his or her time
doing something
and yet when we really look at it....
it's nothing compared to what others that you know of
had done and sacrificed.

And believe me people...SMUJ has some hardcore whiner
and i am getting sick of them whining about this and that.
These 2 weeks we have to stay until 5 at least for
2 days or maybe 3 days....
for meetings etc...
but the whiner announced loudly that...
"In conclusion, we all have been going back late...bla...bla...bla..."
Argh......!!!!!
I know of the same faces that throughout the year spend
3 quarter or more of the schooling days
going back late.....
And these are the same faces year in year out....
and yours truly included in this list...
but we shut our mouth up and just shoulder on...
and at the end of the day...we see results in
our sacrifices and hardwork.

But nooooo......
these whiner will lament about how the percentage
of their subject in the recent public examination has dropped....
Well, there's a saying that goes, you reap what you sow....
if that was what u sowed last year...so now that's your
harvest....

I'm sick....sick....sick...and extremely tired....
wake up people.....
look around you and do something about yourselves.

A promised update....

Life has been busy and i have been tired....
that's my excuse for not updating.
Anyway...i was glad that the holiday finally came after the training in PD.
It was a tough 1 and a half day for me to complete
the upper form session first before the
lower form session begun.
Anyway....i think Wong and i had good partnership as
we covered up for each other
when the other could not be ready on time.
That was what partnership is all about right...
backing each other up...
Anyway...i was quite nervous when the first session started
as the teachers were very quiet
and non-responsive when Wong briefed them on
the Literature Component thingy....
but when the workshop started....
they pretty much got warmed up and started to
enjoy the whole workshop.
And from that moment, they showed positive attitude
which really helped us JU carried out our tasks.
My session flew by and in no time at all it was
the evening session.
Some teachers requested for the night session to be
brought forward...so we did but Wong could not
be ready on time so i decided to take 45 mins
of her drama session to give her time to
prepare her stuff.
Well...it was enough for her....and she was ready when the
45 mins was up.
Well...but not everyone is as lucky to have a partner who
would help out....
i realise that there are people who are very selfish in
sharing knowledge in this world
and that no matter how we try to get it out of them.
Haih...i hate people like that....
Well...i cant comment more on that though....
Anyway....the teachers were really grateful
for the workshops we did....
or rather PPD organised.
They learnt many new things though some
of the teachers are way, way our seniors...
like Kak Rosni from MRSM KK,
she is more experienced than us all put together
but still she had been really positive
about the whole thing
And this gave us the support we needed.
Overall...it was a good training and i had gained something from it.
I also learnt a lot about human nature
and experienced working with ppl
who only think about themselves
and not as a team.
Frankly....i'm glad for my previous experience as JU which
had helped me through this one.
I'm glad that i had helped the teachers
in their teaching as well.

Gaduh...kira duit...shopping....merayu....kira duit...shopping...gaduh...

The title of the blog says it all...
That was what and still is what we have been doing...
until today and i think we'll continue again tomorrow until
Family Day is finally over.
There were people questioning us about the sponsorship we
got...and then....there were people complaining that the room rate
is too expensive....
but those are their expertise after all....
complaining....whining..... cajoling....bad mouthing....

Well....kite pedulik ape....
anyway...we managed to get sponsorship a bit from here and there...
and ended up we save a lot on the gifts
and still have money left to buy good gifts for the lucky draw.
And at the end of the day we still can
have enough to cover this and that....

We went shopping - the fun part - but a real headache too...
then, the non-stop arguing....
then scrutinising the budget again....
argue again....
and at the same time look for sponsorship again...
a repetition of the same cycle for 2 weeks...
haih....
but we are happy to see so many gifts, goodies and
prizes for all....
and the turn out is not that bad too...
only that non of the Chinese teachers join again
and yeah....that leave me...half Chinese...
and Chin...but he's from Simpang Gelami and that
does not count at all...
We finally got all the loot wrapped up, put in the van
and cars and MPVs....and hauled everything to
Klebang Resort - today.....
Phew.....we had paid 90% of the amount and still left 10%
to be paid on Sunday.
So...i hope tomorrow will be a good
day for us...
I hope Ravi can make it....
The best thing is Kak Liza is joinng us....
since we have not met for so long...
so it's going to be fun to catch up again...
Tomorrow will be busy...

Lost in Malacca

Adventure...adventurous....or....was it being blur..?
Pick one....but whatever it is, it was funny.

Yesterday, Lin, Kak Yah, Sarijah and I went to
Malacca to survey Klebang Resort for our family day.
We left at 11 am from school and reached Klebang at 3 something....
We were lost in the first place.....following the map
given by the hotel.
We took Simpang Empat tol and from there we were
supposed to drive to Cheng Height...but somehow...
we took a right turning less than 5 km from the toll...
and went into a village road...
so we were wondering why it was such and well...
Lin was driving pretty fast...
and somehow we realised that we were heading back into Neg 9.
So we took a good look at the map and realised that
we went into the wrong way.
After that, we reached the hotel safely.
But on the way back, Lin complained that the way we took wee too
far so she wanted to go to Ayer Keruh toll instead.
But somehow half way to Tesco, she made a U turn and headed back into
town centre. We followed the signboard
to Mydin but we missed a turning on the left,
going under the bridge.
The road sign was covered by a very bushy tree.
So we asked for direction at a petrol kiosk and made another
U-turn.
5 minutes later we w ere back at Masjid Besar Klebang...
the way to Klebang Resort.
So, we decided to go to Masjid Tanah instead.
But on the way to Masjid Tanah, Lin saw a sign that says
Tol Ayer Keruh and straightaway turn into right.
We followed the sign of course...confidently...
but half way through i looked
outside the window and realised that we passed
by a beauty treatment centre that i saw before.
But only this time it was on my right.
I suddenly suspected that we were on he same route back to
Cheng Height....but I was stil in denial of course...
thinking that it could be another branch.

So...i looked out the left window and saw something familiar....
It looed like the apartment on Cheng height.
I went..."Eh...?" and pointed at the building and turned to Sarijah.
She looked at me and in such an offhand manner (selambe),
she said...."tau...Cheng..."
At that instant, i couldn't hold it in anymore.
I started to laugh and laugh and laugh....
and all of us laughed and laughed and laughed until tears
coming out of our eyes....
We realised that we had been going round and round and round
Malacca...and failed to find the way to Ayer Keruh Tol.

But we drove on and stopped by a shop and asked one
pakcik for the direction.
He was a kind soul who decided to show us the way
instead of just telling us.
So we took the airport road to the toll, totally a new route.

Thank God for the good Samaritan from Tampin
who took the trouble to show us the way.
But that was a really hilarious experience.
Maybe someone had 'baca2' something that
caused us unable to leave Malacca or it could be
the result of our arrogance of actually complaining the whole
way about the inaccuracy of the map given.

Tu la...lain kali jgn sombong dan byk mulut....
tu la balasan nye...
The funniest thing was non of us actually suggested
Lin to drive straight to Tesco and took the right turning to the toll.
It never even crossed our mind.
So...on the drive back we said that we would have reached
home by then if we were to follow the map.
I reached at 9 something, so you can imagine
what time they reached Jelebu.

Last session of SELECT prog today...

Today's the last day that we have to go to
Simpang Gelami for the SELECT prog...
it's kinda a relief but sad too...
Relief because we don't have to go there every
Monday afternoon and Chin can finally go
back early...
sad because we won't be seeing Larson
and it also meant that James won't be hitch-hiking
us to SG anymore come Friday...
Huhuhu...i kinda enjoy talking to him...
and he always gets so excited when he
talks about something that excites him...
Like the way he talked about Thailand today...
he's dying to tell someone about his experience...
which is quite funny and fun...
and he got so bubbly when he talked about it...
His speech became so fast...
hahaha....i had to really concentrate to catch what he said...
But yeah...i'm gonna miss that boy...
boy band look....
and his excited chatter....
and some funny stuff too...
but yeah...time flies....
i thought it was only yesterday that we've agreed with Mr Bala
pick James up every morning...
and well...
i have to say...a friendship grew....
We're gonna miss teasing Larson too....
though he tried to keep his cool all the time....
It was good fun...
There's still the closing ceremony next month...
so looking forward to that though....
Hmmm.....so...it'll be 3.10 pm from now on...
at least until after Raya.....

The Batik conflict....lalalalalalaaa....

Expensive? Not cheerful? Quality of the cloth?
Among other things that crop up....
would be these...
Yeap...Tn Haji wants the teachers to buy
new Batik cloths so we'll be in
time to tailor it for next year's
officiating of the hall ceremony.
The school is going to invite Dato Rais Yatim among others
so he wants the occasion to be grand....
Haih...but the RM210 is too expensive for most teachers
and of course a silk fabric...
most people will end up
wearing the outfit once or twice a month
or maybe a year...
Difficult to iron....
So...yeah...we have to scout for other
solution if teachers disagree with the price...
Pening...
every year the same thing....
maybe we should shop online instead...
that would make things easier....
Much more easier...
You see what you like and
you just click and purchase....
I hope a solution will pop up soon....

Sad news...

Today was a normal day...
except that something unexpected happened....
Lin's mother passed away....
all of a sudden....
She was her normal cheerful self this morning...
reading the newspaper and talking about the accident that happened
the day before...
then she got a call saying that her mother fainted
and she was so distressed by then...
she couldn't get hold of her
husband and finally Suhaimi sent her back...
About 9.30, Kak Ji got a call or sms
from her saying that her mom had passed on...
Really sad....
she was just telling us about her the other day...
saying how she insisted on her husband
to go back with her
and have the first 'sahur' with her mom....
and now...this....
Lin....i hope that you'll be strong in this trying time....
May your mom's soul rest in peace....

Outrageous slanders....

Speculation is a norm when something happened...
but speculation stated with untrue conviction is a slander....
which can cause grave injury to the party involved.
Yeap...speculation spread like wild fire after what had
happened last week...
most were totally wrong that people who know the truth had
to correct them...just so rumours do not
grow out of hand...
Anyway...most of the speculations were quelled
successfully...
But there's one person who is totally out of this world
that you might think this person
is living on another planet altogether.

This particular person took it upon this person's self
(to avoid exposing this person's gender)
to be the CSI and investigate the whole
matter within ...say....half a day...?
(beat CSI right...with all the high tec stuff..)
and this person knows the truth.....
which is totally crooked....
and based on this person's past experience
which is totally a different matter as compared to this...

This person made 2 speculations and 1 statement
that is totally outrages that i cannot repeat it here...
that repeating it would defile my mouth....
Slanderous statements....
from a crack person....
Of course i have been sworn to secrecy...
so i shall not repeat what i heard...
suffice to say that it made my blood boiled...

Friendly Deabte with SDARian boys..

Last Friday (i know...i should write this on Fri)
Azie and I brought our debaters to SDAR
for a friendly debate with the debaters there...
My girls were not prepared as usual despite weeks of preparation...
Which pisses me and Azie off...
so we told them that that was the consequence of their
action of procratination...
SO they got it pretty hard form the boys...
Being bashed by the debaters and then
commented mercilessly by Irfan, the ex-debater who was
also one of the jury...
But it was a lesson learnt for them
and being in SDAR makes them
aware that there is a whole wide world out there,
outside of Jelebu,
that they have yet to explore...
and that it is all in their hands...
to work for it and grab the opportunity...
I hope that this will change their outlook towards life and
push them further to achieve their
dreams....

They bunked in my place that night...
we ordered pizza and watched TV and chatted...
I chatted with the girls before bed...
and i do hope that it will make a difference in their life...
They get to explore my books collection and
yeah...comic collection....
and get to read a bit...
and get a glimpse of books that i like....
Still 8 more days to go for state level...
i hope the girls will make it through the first round....

Stoooooooooooopppppiiiiiidddddddd!!!!!!!!

It was officially announced today that
Maths and science will be taught in BM again...
gradually changing starting from 2012...
I can't believe that the cabinet is making a decision based on a less
than 10 years project....
It proves to be true then that Malaysian...especially its government
always do stuff without much deliberation....
Like so many other issues that preceded this issue...
which were also handled in such a manner...
It takes at least 20 years for the fruit of your hardwork
to finally show some good result....
and a policy to be evaluated for its effectiveness...
But ETeMS has not even reached its 10th anniversary...
it is being scrape off...
There are many things that will be totally wasted apart from
the teachers' effort..
1. the money spend on
a. software - millions of ringgit were paid to software companies to
write the teaching softwares
b. hardware - the laptops, backup power trolleys, white screen etc.
for the schools
c. the money spent on training the teachers

And these are only the few things that take up millions of ringgit
not counting the effort put in by all the people involved...
Typical short sighted people that call themselves the
government...
They are not encouraging the Malaysian children to learn
a foreign language...
and who will suffer at the end of the day?
Of course the future generation who cannot even speak
good English to get themselves a job....
I guess....some people might as well make money out of this situation....
When undergraduates cannot write their thesis in
English....they will
look for the English optionists in Uni to translate
for them...
and of course...may they be brilliant enough to charge
expensively for such services....

Anyway...on a serious note....
It is not a matter of putting BM second fiddle...
but it is a matter of moving forward to face the new millennium...
the globalised world that the government itself talks so much
about...
Judging from the childen that i am currently teaching...
which i feel filling up at least 70 % of the Malaysian youth...
they will be left way...way behind...
When all the urban area kids are moving ahead...
these are the ones who will be left behind...not knowing
what is happening...
Such is the scenario that is not foresee by these people...
