Family Day 2010

Fun...hilarity.....reunion......prizes...gifts....

Well...the day was finally here...

and we, the committee members were still pretty much busy since morning.

There went my plans of going around Malacca town...

after breakfast, Lin, Kak Yah and I

once again got together to discuss and finalise on everything...

the number of family members, the room,

the payment etc.....

while Sarijah and Wani were down stairs in the

hall preparing, labelling and numbering the

prizes, hampers and gifts....

By 11am, we went down to help.

Yati was the first family to arrived followed by

Kak Hazlin.

They were looking for room to stay but the hotel was

fully booked...

luckily Marzatul did not plan to stay so she sold off

her room to Kak Lin.

We went up to get the room keys....and the extra breakfast coupons

and put them in the envelope...

by 2pm most of the teachers have arrived and by

3 pm...they were down at the pool area

for the telematch.

We had a hilarious and fun time, cheating, shouting, chasing,

running, pulling chairs...falling off chairs....

The best part was the cheating part....

Tn haji, Cikgu Man were among those who cheated

outrageously but that was expected...

It wouldn't be a fun time without the cheating....

Anyway...while having fun, the storm suddenly moved in...

taking over the clear sky...

it happened so fast but even with rain and the wind,

we still had fun playing water balloon...

Too bad it rained in the evening.

By 7 pm...the dinner had to be moved into the small

hall which was pretty cramped for 130 people.

Argh....but we had no choice...

We planned for a pool side bbq dinner but the

weather did not permit it.

So, dinner proceeded in the hall at 8 pm...

i delivered my impromptu speech...

then the principal, after that

the birthday celebrants cutting the cake and dinner...

While dinner there was video slide show

of the school's activities for the year and also

pictures of the telematch that evening.

Then, the lucky draws......

and the gifts giving.....

everything was in a rush because the teachers were so

anxious to watch the football match between

Kelantan and N. sembilan.

The hall was nearly empty by 10 pm....

so dinner ended at about 10.30pm.

After that, Kal Liza, Lin, Ravi, Lin's husband and i stayed

for karaoke session.

Oh...kal liza arrived at 4pm...

so we sat down to gossip in between singing until 11.

Tn Haji came down to join us at 5 to 11....so he sang 3 songs...

before we went off for a drink.

We managed to gossip sumore with Ravi and Kak Liza after that.

Overall...it was a smooth dinner for us...

but still we heard some people complained that their husbands were not

called for the telematch...

which we did but they didn't turn up...

but they could join in the middle if they wanted too....

it was not our fault tho...we had too many things to

think about.

It was a good dinner...the food was ample and

there was no shortage...

too bad i couldn't eat so much as my mouth was full with ulcer.
