Yesterday my school organised the Choral Speaking Comp
as well as Forum Remaja comp
for the district level....
On Wednesday...once we had finished with our debate,
both Azie and I converged on the Choral Speaking
team to give them support and ideas to
brush up their performance...
Another reason was we wanted to encourage them to
give their all so they will aim for
champion and do their best...
Azie kicked one boy out of the team...
we just decided that he is not contributing positively to the
whole team and is not discipline enough
to be in the team...
He influenced the boys to be playful...
After he was taken out, the team became better...
and they did beautifully....
We time them and discovered that we were short by 2 minutes...
so Kak Zu, Vani, Azie and I thought really hard
on how to improvise and drag it longer...
Luckily we still had 3 hours to correct the flaw...
We managed to reach 7 minutes....
On Thursday...our adrenalin was pretty high...
Azie was the Mc for the session but i was
there to oversea the smooth running of the event...
We came to the conclusion that there were
2 teams that would be the choice for champion
- UJ and Teriang HIlir....
The rest were not really synchronised...
So we were quite confident that UJ would win...
at least...
but we were worried about the time though...
At the end...when Kak Ruzana passed the result to the MC
for the closing ceremony,
Azie took a peak...
i Was too nervous so i stood by the entrance of the hall...
Azie came to shake my hand...
Yesh...we got it....
Champion....
Choral Speaking district level...
Ah...sweet...sweet victory....
We were expecting Suria to get Best Conductor award
but the DUMA conductor got it...
But...Suria was the best conductor as compared to the rest...
But she was penalised for something else....
But never mind that....
our hard work is paid off now...
and such team work from the teachers....
First time in UJ history...
3 Champions for English competition....
Congrats UJ.....
We now set our eyes on going state to at least get a
position....
maybe not 1st or 2nd...
but at least a 3rd...maybe?
It is possible right?
It all starts with a single dream.....
