This was among the song sang at this fantabulous musical theatre....
We've not been to a theatre show for so long
since i missed out on PGL last year...
so this year....initially
i wanted to watch
I have a date with Spring...
but apparently that was last year's show by
Dama Orchestra....
But this year they have an equally
catchy show - Glitz & Glamour.
It is in Mandarin and English....
The narration is in English while the songs are all in Mandarin.
It's basically a rendition of the SHI Da QUI genre of songs
or performance spanning several decades -
right from the 30s or 40s to the 70s -
From the classic Chinese Oldies to the chacha era
and then right into rock and roll to
sexy sultry jazz....
From Shanghai right to Hong Kong.
The songs and dances were really mesmerizing
and we enjoyed every single moment of it.
Despite it being in Mandarin but i have no problem of
understanding the whole musical theater...
It was See Gem's first theatre show...
and he was utterly delighted and excited throughout
the show....
and he kept squealing when his favourite oldies
were sung....
Though the ticket was a bit costly (RM95) but
it was worth every single cent spent.
next year, Dama has already a new project and that will be
our next date - the life of Teresa Teng...another of our
favourite Chinese singer.
I really look forward to next year's musical by Dama.
