Last Friday (i know...i should write this on Fri)
Azie and I brought our debaters to SDAR
for a friendly debate with the debaters there...
My girls were not prepared as usual despite weeks of preparation...
Which pisses me and Azie off...
so we told them that that was the consequence of their
action of procratination...
SO they got it pretty hard form the boys...
Being bashed by the debaters and then
commented mercilessly by Irfan, the ex-debater who was
also one of the jury...
But it was a lesson learnt for them
and being in SDAR makes them
aware that there is a whole wide world out there,
outside of Jelebu,
that they have yet to explore...
and that it is all in their hands...
to work for it and grab the opportunity...
I hope that this will change their outlook towards life and
push them further to achieve their
dreams....
They bunked in my place that night...
we ordered pizza and watched TV and chatted...
I chatted with the girls before bed...
and i do hope that it will make a difference in their life...
They get to explore my books collection and
yeah...comic collection....
and get to read a bit...
and get a glimpse of books that i like....
Still 8 more days to go for state level...
i hope the girls will make it through the first round....
