Hari Guru came and gone with the theme
Guru Pembina Bangsa this year...
The Teachers' Day weekend, i was in Sarawak...
went back for fun since i got myself a cheap ticket...
Anyway, my school's celebration fell on the Monday right after that
weekend...
it was a good timing because right after that was the beginning of
our exam week...
so after being happy we came back to school without having to think
about teaching in class...
Almost all of us wore the school official Baju batik but some
didn't manage to get it done
so they wore anything green...
But it was a pretty sight really...looking at the different shade of
green since the Batik was hand painted...
so the they couldn't of course produce
the exact same thing...
We started from the road leading up to the school...going uphill with
the four heads infront...
Effendy had the Kebudayaan kids to perform
the silat and dance that he has for the Commonwealth weekend...
Then, we were escorted by the prefects - each teacher
was assigned an escort and they gave us a tumbler...
The programmes started with the reading of compulsory speeches
by the ministers and so on...
Then, the cutting of the cakes by the four heads...and
then teachers were invited to sing the song
Kami Guru Malaysia (We, the teachers of Malaysia)
Then, the fun entertainment began...
The students sang....some have really good voice..
you'll never know until they perform....
Anywho...the really fun part was when the teachers performed...
The usual line up...
Kak Ngah with her puisi...(no singing ha kak Ngah?)
Suhaimi with his Melayu puisi (bau-bau politik la...)
Cikgu Zul with his songs....
Abg Aji with his funny cha-cha or twist songs...
(Musfazli had to dance but he looked chubby and cute)
then..of course....LIN...the ever glameres LIN...
Tak pernah miss....if miss 1 year...rasenye tutup skolah kot...
Kak Ti and Abg Lan - pasangan suami isteri singing
enjit2 semut...
Oh....a new addition...Srivani and Tamilarasi with a
Tamil song...
and the GRAND FINALE -
Abg Shim (HM) with his classic song...
Bed, Lin and I went up to dance....
After breakfast at 10 sumting, we had a brief aerobic...
the Chicken dance and Poco-poco...
lantak la...
tak ingat step so we created our own steps....
Then...sukaneka....
hah...cikgu tipu bagai nak rak....
our group was among the first to go...
HM was so bad...he pushed our balloon from the top of the chair
and it fell on Kak Ngah....
Kak Ngah went..."HM tipu...die tolak belon...."
In the first makan roti round, he threw it under the table...
Chet...
Some CHEATED outrageously...
Ravi...(***i said RAVI***take note) tarik kaki kerusi
when his group member kicked the ball
so it went right underneath...
some even stole other groups' balloons...
it was merely for FUN...to see how the students react....
The best thing was....
HAHAHAHA...
HM punye group got no & while our group got 6...
i think...
Tu la...orang dah cakap...
Menipu tu x elok...lagi nak buat....muahahahaha...
After lunch, we had Fishing competition...
the teachers were down at the pond at 1.45...
all were impatient to fish....
cikgu Zul checked that all the teachers were present and then he
started to read the list of prizes...
we all went like....
Cikgu Zul can we start....tak sabo dah ni....
tak yah cakap byk2....pancing je...
Apparently The HM is not down yet...
so we all waited IMPATIENTLY for him...
Then....finally he made his appearance....
Bawak plastik besar...macam nak tangkap byk ikan...
we were all cheering him on...with his BIG, BIG, BIG orange
plastic bag...(note that i wrote BIG)
so finally...after he got his Joran and all...
we began...
Bed hebat...among the 2nd fastest to catch fish....
Suhaimi...caught a lot of fish....
tapi cheated like hell...guna cacing....
kejap-kejap dapat....A'raaf pun same...
i waited for 15 minutes....tak kena jugek....
finally...i tipu jugek la...guna cacing...
within a few seconds...i caught 1...
hahahaha....the excitement of catching a fish...can be addictive...
It was really VIP Fishing (as chin called it) for me and
Bed...
tak brani nak pegang fishing bait...and when
we caught a fish...tak brani nak get it off the hook...
siap jerit....adik...tolong cikgu....letak umpan...
then....tolong kelurakan ikan...
ALL we did was..pancing je...
The funiest thing was....HM seekor pun tak dapat...
despite his big plastic bag....
his joran tak makan ikan....
HM tak puas hati...mula tukr spot....ke sebelah kiri kolam.....
sebab ramai dapat ikan kat situ...
tapi takde jugek...
then pegi kat tempat Araaf dan Suhaimi....
pun tak dapat....
then pegi blakang Bed and I sebab we all caught fish....
pun tak kena....keliling kolam...
sekor pun takde...
Lin pun give up...merayu-rayu mintak cacing...
finally she got 2 ekor kot...berkat umpan cacing...
muahahahaha....bukan nasib kau la Lin....
Ade yang tak puas hati....
after 30 minutes still memancing...
padahal dah abis masa....
seronok memancing...aku la tu....among the few...
finally...after Lin dan Bed terjerit-jerit suruh balik baru la nak naik...
It was a fun day for all of us....
Almaklum...hidup kt bandar la konon...
pancing ikan pun tak pernah...
dah tu pancing macam VIP....
tau tarik ikan je...
Ravi...aku tak ingat...rasenye pun tak byk ikan yang die dapat....
Bukan nasib kau la Ravi...
Hopefully...next year pun bule pancing lagi...
