Haiku for Independece

My haiku got the second place in the
Merdeka Day greeting competition done by
the History panel in conjunction with the patriotic month.

Always...the BM teachers would win all the prizes...
suprisingly.....the English teachers won too this year...

A simple Haiku to reflect upon...

At times we forget
The sacrifices made
We retaliate

But for love sake
We have to reach out
And make it works

A revised version

At times we forget
Bitter sacrifices made
We retaliate

But for love and peace
Half way meeting is a must
Reaching out for US
