Meeting people at a dinner party is like Touch n' Go...
like you touch...say hi...and Go...
Just like at the toll station....
you introduce yourself...people introduce themselves...
you smile....shake hands....and the next moment..you can't remember
their names...
So, T n' G...
Tess and I attended the Catholic Students' Society
of UPM annual dinner in Palm Garden Hotel on Sunday night,
8 March 2009.
We are like the alumni...Tess of course is part alumni and
part grad students...
as the advisor, Dr Kenny said
as long as you have completed your undergrad studies...u are an alumni...
hehehe...
we were like in UPM, to be exact, a decade ago this year...
we were the 1999 batch...and this year marks our 10th year...
we are like so ancient...
the oldest alumni there is Dr Michael...now, a DR...
We still remember him from our time....i think...
Anyway...all the alumni i assumed were familiar figures to the members of CSS
as they left uni like 2-5 years ago...
for Tess and I...we know the juniors as the juniors...
hahaha...
With 007 - Timothy 'Dalton'...and a bow tie
It turned out to be a fun night apparently..
With the emcees...emceeing in broken English...
(we 2 English teachers stayed low profile - not correcting any grammar error)
and the performances were fun...entertaining...
singing mostly as the CSS students like to sing...
and dancing...
this generation is so different from ours...
Devebra - Queen of the nite
i remember my students back in St Co loved to dance...
and here i see that the younger generation is not far off...
I especially like a performance by Gary...he danced to the song
Black and White....
the advisor, Dr Kenny too loves to sing...tho
he sang oldies mostly...but i think he rawks...
hahaha...if that's a suitable word to describe an old man...
Dr Kenny - rawks man...
i got some pretty interesting video clips to be uploaded...
Got to know some interesting funny people...
and had tonnes and tonnes of laughter...
Another Gary - not the shuffler
