Winding down with agood movie...or so we thought...

On Saturday night...after sunset mass we went to MBO Terminal2
to catch a movie...since we had 2 free complimentary ticket
for Chin's birthday...we thought we might as well go
and watch a good movie to relax...
We didn't know what to expect...since Chin said the movie
is exciting...about retired super heroes being killed etc...

Movie started at 9.15....and the beginning was a bit draggy after the murder of Comedian...
it spanned through the 60s to the 80s...with soundtrack from
the 60s to the 80s...which include Simon Garfunkle...
we really enjoyed the soundtrack but i thought it was a bit too
long for an introduction...
the plot was a bit draggy too...as in 2 hrs and a half..
and we still didn't know who was the villain...
it is definitely NOT for children...
for it contains violent scenes of killing and sex....hahaha....
we got headache and backache at the end of the nearly 3 hrs show...
For people who love action and hates conversation...well
totally unsuitable...
a lot of talking and you have to concentrate on the conversation
to understand the whole plot...
It was rather anti climatic for me because when we discovered who
the villain was and the reason he did what he did,
the one hero that we thought could stop him finally agreed
with him....that is achieving peace through
the sacrifice of a small number of people...
It is too idealistic and of course some of the heroes could not
accept this idealistic view and i guess some
viewers too...
for the younger viewers, i guess it would be difficult for
them to understand the era of cold war that
the movie is set in...
all those newspapers clippings and news flashes featuring the past
presidents of America (the killing of JFK is included)
would make them wonder who were those people...
But overall...enjoyable i guess...
More suitable to watch a DVD than in the cinema..
