The time of the year for PTK is here again and we teachers
(the bigger majority that is) once again....
will dig up our long-forgotten-but-always-nagging-at-the-back-of-the-mind PTK book
from wherever it is stored for the last 6 months
and start to do a last minute flipping of the book...
a pretense that will hopefully reassures us that we are like
the rest of the general public who are sitting for the paper.
A semblance of (a half-hearted) preparation but preparation nevertheless...
This is my.....ummmm....ahhhhh....ummmmm(scratch the hair....look
left and right...up and down....with a puzzle look)..
nope....can't recall....number of times....taking the exam but
still i got a band 3 for the last August test.
All those who get the same band as I would be sitting for it
over and over again in the hope of getting a band 4
and finally the RM300 increment in their pay...
(Yeah...we suckers for money...)
But...as i said earlier...the hope is high but the preparation is
half-hearted....
Chin decided to stop reading the book late last night and started to flip
through the questions instead and ticked all the correct answers
in the choices provided...so that he can at least memorise the questions...
strategies....
he looked grim....like he was marking some exam papers where
the students all did badly...hahahhaa....
My strategy was to read all the simplified notes from NUTP
and then attempted all the questions and hopefully
some of those questions i tried will at least come out....
Some people make short notes....some would sleep with the book
by their side...some would even use it as a pillow in the
hope that the knowledge will absorb freely into their brain while
they are sleeping...
But...when we are faced with the real thing itself...
we realise that we cannot remember all the information that we
have read...
there will be too many conditions applied and facts to remember
and there are only 40 questions....
so as a last resort...when we are faced with the blank wall
in the brain...we will take out our weapon of mass destruction
- the pencil -
and start to darken what we deem logical.
of course what is logical to us may not necessarily be logical to the
PSD exam board and thus...
we will have to try our luck again in the next exam...
Today...i do not think that i fared badly in the exam....
I FEEL...mind you....but what i feel is irrelevant of course....
I feel that i have answered all questions with a sound and logical mind....
I feel that the questions are not as difficult as i expected.....
Nevertheless....i do hope i will get band 4...
