Throughout the 3 years in SMUJ i notice
that there are certain people who like to shirk their responsibility
with whatever way possible...
and these are the people who will be conveniently sick at a certain time
and simply don't turn up for work...
I dislike people like this...
because i strongly believe that if a responsibility is given to you...
you have to carry it out to the best ability that you could...
I also believe that not many people agree with me...
I also strongly believe that one should have a target to achieve
and that life will be like a living dead if we are living through it as we had done
so the day before...
merely going through the whole process of living and not aiming
to achieve...
Haih...this is deep....
involves one's integrity....and again....doing what one believes
is right...
Today...i reminded members of my panel to start training
the students for various competition in April as
the English Carnival will be in April...
Hopefully not sooner that 15 April...
One person actually look at me with a look of disbelieve...
as if she has so much work to do...
and she had insisted on taking Drama from me...
so i expect that she would stick to it and bring out
the best in the students...
But instead....she tries to push the job to another new teacher saying
that the teacher has the experience of doing drama before...
Hello....i'm not one to bully new teachers....
and i do believe that a new teacher should work under another
teacher for at least a year to get the hang of everything...
and not just being dumped with the whole load...
She insisted that she has done her job in training
students for the spelling competition....
I hate it when i have to be firm but well...
she leaves me no choice...
The new teacher will be incharge of BBS for the whole year
and it is not fair to dump another activity on her...
Anyway...this particular person is a shirker of responsibility
so well....as i said...it goes against my principle...
Another teacher gave me a doubtful chuckle when i reminded
her of the choral speaking training...
Excuse me...Simpang gelami is way, way smaller than UJ
but they have started training since January...
What does that say about you in particular...
and UJ in general?
Haih....i hate dealing with people like this....
I miss St Co where training students is not one of the problems
when i was the HOP there...
How can you strive for success when people are under motivated?
They simply do not see that they are able to achieve success...
But instead they see a whole load of burden lining their paths....
I know they have family and children waiting for them at home...
but who doesn't?
I have a life too....
I have a house to return to at the end of the day...
So...why not we try to compromise....
Look at it as a new challenge...instead...and not a burden...
Arrgghhh....
God has given me the strength thus far to manage...and so i believe
he will guide me through another year...

Such teachers are a dime a dozen...and they'll badmouth you left, right and centre! A disgrace to the profession!!! But they'll want EVERYTHING - the money, the awards, the incentives...whatever miserable crumbs that fall fromthe table...and yet will not lift a finger to do anything. Shameless!
Yes...but sometimes..they don't go for the fame...they choose to lay low and just drift along the way...and not do a thing...but whine loud and clear...i agree with you...
