Last night at 11.45 pm, i decided to succumb to my tiredness and retired to my humble bed...and while making the bed, i heard Mr Chin switched the gas fire on....and i thought...at 10 mins to 12 and hungry? That late...cooking Maggie mee again.....
After a moment, he called out....come quick....come outside and look at the computer screen...look...i did something to it...quick...and i was thinking...wat...must be wanting to share Maggie mee with me...
So, unsuspecting me opened the door and wallah.....SURPRISE!!!! a slice of Chocolate Indulgence from Secret recipe with a small candle on it greeted me...with a slightly amused happy birthday song sang by the perpetrator.
It had been such a long time since he is able to pull off a surprise on me like that...usually...i would have discovered the surprise long before he could execute it and thus foiling all his hard work at concealing the whole surprise thingy....
Then, this morning, still groggy from lack of sleep (i ended sleeping at 1.15 because of school work), i stumbled into the bathroom to switch on the water heater....and WALLAH...another SURPRISE awaited me....
Attached to the shower holder was a nicely wrapped RED, RED rose with a simple note of love....how sweet considering that it comes from Mr Chin...but he has always have a mushy side....muahahahaha....and i thought...DARN!!! He got me again.....second time in a row....
It's going to be hard for me to pull off mine...to out do his tricks......:)
So, i was quite amused at the whole surprise thingy on the way to school..and it being a Wednesday and English Day, i had a lot of things to do once i arrived in school...
So, it was a couple of hours later as i was rummaging through my school bag looking for something when i discovered a card...so i took it out and written on the envelope was 'From your Student...'...
I didn't immediately open it up as i was really busy so, it was another hour before i actually sat down and read the card....
Once again, unfailingly, Mr Chin pulled off his stunt again....the cutest card with the cutest wording added to the existing ones made it really funny and made me go.....DARN THAT MAN....NYA...NYA......
So, that was the whole birthday thingy...as as i took out the flower just now, my mother-in-law went...A Man gave you the flower? Wah...how Ro..Man...Tic...(with cantonese accent)....hahaha....
Indeed...it was a day full of surprises....and the reality sank in...i have indeed grown a year older...in age that is but still young at heart....
Thanx Mr Chin...what would i do without you...hahahaha......you are not so Apek after all....
